Our story
A family stone house, now in its second generation
Stonedge grew out of decades in the marble trade. We still buy the way our family always has — by walking the blocks, checking every slab under daylight and keeping our own stock in Makrana, Rajasthan, India’s historic marble town.
Today we supply Italian marble, Indian marble, granite, quartzite and sandstone to homeowners, architects, interior designers and builders across Ahmedabad — and we cut, finish and install it too. Whether it is a single book-matched wall in a Shela bungalow or flooring for an entire residential tower, the same people look after your stone from selection to handover. Read our story.

Questions about buying marble in Ahmedabad
Where can I see Italian marble slabs in Ahmedabad?
At the Stonedge Display Center on VIP Road, S.P. Ring Road in Shela (near Bharat Petrol Pump). Full slabs are displayed so you can judge veining, colour and finish in daylight before you choose. We are open Mon–Sat 10 am – 7 pm · Sun 10 am – 2 pm; a quick call before you visit helps us keep the right stones ready.
Do you supply both Italian marble and Indian marble?
Yes. We stock imported marbles such as Statuario, Carrara, Michelangelo and Pluto White, and Indian marbles sourced through our own stockyard in Makrana, Rajasthan — the town Indian marble is best known for. Many homes combine both: Italian marble for living areas and feature walls, Indian marble for larger floor areas.
How is the price of marble or granite decided?
Price depends on the variety and its grade, slab size and thickness, the finish (polished, honed, leather), the quantity you need and any fabrication such as book-matching, edge profiles or cut-outs. Because these vary so much, we quote after understanding your area and application rather than publishing a single rate.
Do you also cut, fabricate and install the stone?
Yes. Our in-house workshop handles cutting, edge profiling, book-matching, countertop cut-outs and finishing, and our project team manages laying and installation for homes, offices and hospitality projects. One team from slab selection to handover means fewer gaps and better results.
Which stone is best for a kitchen countertop?
Granite and natural quartzite are the most practical choices: they resist heat, scratches and everyday stains far better than marble. Marble can be used in kitchens if you accept a natural patina and seal it regularly. Our guide on choosing granite for kitchen countertops explains the trade-offs.
Do you work outside Ahmedabad?
Most of our work is in Ahmedabad and across Gujarat, and we also take on larger projects elsewhere — for example our marble work at Sayaji Hotel in Udaipur. Share your location and project details and we will confirm what is possible.
